QNET participated in a Walkathon Fundraiser called Umbrella Walk to create awareness on child sexual abuse and raise funds for the non-profit organisation. Hosted by the Selangor & Federal Territory Family Reproductive Health Association(FREHA), the walkathon was held at Taman Jaya in Petaling Jaya, and saw over 150 walkers including children and staff of QNET.
“The walk was fun and exciting – but it had a very serious message. Its aim was to raise awareness of domestic child sexual abuse as well as encourage more people to report it and to raise funds for our activities. We are very thankful to QNET for coming in full support of this activity. They have not only donated to our cause but they have also come in full force,” noted President of FREHA Dr Shong Chih Min.
“At QNET, we strongly advocate the company’s philosophy of RYTHM, meaning Raise Yourself To Help Mankind. Undoubtedly we view seriously the crimes committed against children and cases which threaten the safety and rights of children. Child security issues should be taken seriously by all levels of society as children are one of the country's major assets,” said QNET Global PR Manager Elaine Aisyah.
